Reactor is a common production equipment in  pharmaceutical industries. Among them, the glass-lined reactor is made by coating high silicon content enamel on the surface of metal body and then firing them at high temperature(about 900℃）for several times in order to achieve a high adhesive strength of the enamel on the steel base body. Therefore,the glass-lined reactor has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and high pressure resistance.

It is understood that when the pressure in the reactor fluctuates greatly, the suddenly increased pressure will be several times higher than the normal pressure.The operation is unstable and even dangerous, but the glass-lined reactor can withstand these pressures. Therefore, from the perspective of operation safety, glass-lined reactor has incomparable advantages and is more widely used in pharmaceutical plants.
However, in the process of using the glass-lined reactor, some failures often occur, and users need to understand the causes of the failures in order to better deal with these problems. In addition, timely solving the equipment failure and taking corresponding preventive measures can prevent the corresponding situation occurs again to ensure the normal use of the equipment.
